President Tinubu charged members of the council to work towards securing victory for the APC in the January 2027 elections and urged directorate leaders to involve other party members who were not formally listed.
The President said his administration had fulfilled key campaign promises and placed Nigeria on a path towards economic progress, expressing confidence that the benefits of ongoing reforms were beginning to emerge.
“We are definitely out of the dark tunnel and are now at the cusp of reaping the benefits of a prosperous economy that will benefit all Nigerians,” President Tinubu said.
He urged the campaign council to take the administration’s achievements to Nigerians and “confidently showcase” its record as the country enters the campaign season.
The campaign council was announced in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on August 22, 2026.
