The Presidency says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will stay actively involved with state affairs and continue to receive critical briefings during his three-week working vacation in Europe.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Mr Sunday Dare, said this while speaking with State House Correspondents on Sunday evening shortly after the President departed Nigeria for London.
Mr Dare said the President’s vacation followed several months of sustained engagement with the affairs of the country, including major decisions on security, the economy and other aspects of governance.
“The President is on a well-deserved leave,” Dare said.
He said the period would also afford the President the chance to be more prepared ahead of the months of intense political activities, while governance and other responsibilities of the administration continue.

The Presidential aide said the vacation would not stop President Tinubu from attending to important national issues, as communication with key government officials would continue throughout the period.
“He will be involved in state matters on a daily basis,” Dare said.
He said the President would continue to be briefed by ministers, Service Chiefs and other officials charged with handling critical national responsibilities and decisions.
President Tinubu left Abuja on Sunday for Europe where he will undertake a three-week working vacation as part of his annual leave. The President is expected to remain in contact with relevant government officials while abroad.
The President is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of his three-week working holiday.
