Freida Parton Says Family Is United Amid Dolly Estate Dispute
Freida Parton has denied reports of a family feud following the death of her older sister, country music legend Dolly Parton.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday, Freida said there was no conflict among members of the Parton/Owens family over Dolly’s estate.
“I’ll say this and this only: there is no feud within our family,” she wrote. “No one among the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly’s estate.”
Her comments came after developments involving Dolly’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, sparked speculation about tensions within the family.
Seaver had reportedly worked as head of security for Dolly’s properties and was chosen to make the announcement following her death. He was later removed from the security arrangement.
Dolly’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, subsequently sought a legal protection order against Seaver. Court filings associated with the estate accused Seaver of making threatening statements.

Seaver has rejected the characterization of his messages as threats.
A Tennessee judge has since granted a temporary restraining order involving Seaver and his private security company.
The legal proceedings prompted reports suggesting that disagreements surrounding Seaver could reflect wider divisions within Dolly’s family.
Freida has now publicly rejected that interpretation.
The singer’s younger sister specifically addressed concerns about Bryan, saying that the family still cared about him.
“We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other,” Freida said.
She also ended her social media statement by expressing love for her family.
The clarification comes at a time of intense public interest in Dolly Parton’s estate following her death at the age of 80 on August 25.
Dolly’s death has generated widespread tributes from fans and fellow entertainers, while attention has also turned to the management of her business interests and properties.
Freida’s statement makes clear that the legal dispute involving Seaver should not be interpreted as evidence of a family fight over Dolly’s estate.
Although the court proceedings remain ongoing, Freida maintains that the Parton/Owens family remains united and that family members continue to support one another.
