Popular comedienne Warri Pikin has sought forgiveness from Nigerians following criticism of her conduct during a recent performance with Afrobeats singer Timaya.
The entertainer, whose real name is Anita Asuoha, became a subject of discussion after a video showing her on stage with Timaya went viral.
The clip sparked reactions from social media users, with some describing the interaction as inappropriate and questioning whether such conduct was suitable for a married woman.
Warri Pikin has now responded to the controversy, admitting that she was responsible for what happened and apologising to those who were offended.
She explained that she had been backstage enjoying the concert when Timaya called for a woman to join him during his performance of “Ukwu.”
The comedienne said she was excited by the atmosphere and rushed onto the stage. She added that she initially refused to take part when invited but later agreed after Timaya indicated that she should not disrupt the performance.

Warri Pikin said the incident seemed funny and entertaining at the venue but took on a different meaning when the video appeared online.
She also disclosed that her husband, Ikechukwu, was upset by the incident.
Appealing directly to her followers, the comedian asked them not to be too harsh on her, stressing that she had already taken responsibility for her actions.
She insisted that the behaviour was not reflective of her personality and reaffirmed her dedication to her marriage.
Warri Pikin also addressed those who criticised her, saying she recognised that some people were expressing genuine concern rather than hatred.
She described the incident as an awkward situation and said she understood why members of the public reacted strongly.
The entertainer concluded by asking her followers to forgive her and give her family space to deal with the matter.
