Kcee Foresees Major Change in Entertainment Industry Within Five Years

Nigerian music star Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has said that the culture of keeping a mysterious public image will be almost irrelevant in the entertainment industry in the next five years.

Kcee made the prediction in an interview with Selah Meditate where he spoke about the changing trends in the music business and the increasing need for artists to stay visible.

The singer also noted that it used to be that entertainers created value and generated curiosity by being less accessible and intentionally staying away from the public. He does feel, though, that the strategy does not have the same impact in today’s fast-changing industry.

“Artistes now have to be visible and always relate with their fans to stay relevant,” Kcee said. Artificial intelligence and other technological advances have transformed the entertainment landscape, he said, so constant visibility is more important than ever.

The singer also revealed that he had been talking to some American professors who agreed with his view that the mysterious approach will soon lose its appeal.

“Absence created a lot of value in 2021 and 2022, but things have changed a lot,” he said.

As the industry keeps evolving, Kcee therefore advised artistes to be more extroverted and maintain a stronger presence in front of their fans.
